Badminton Scoring on Kynaix Sports

Rally-point game recording, service rotation, and live shot stats — all from your phone courtside.

How Scoring Works

Badminton uses rally scoring — a point is scored on every rally. The app tracks service rotation automatically and handles the 3-game match structure.

Step 1

Open the live match and tap Start Game. Select the first server to begin.

Step 2

After each rally, tap the player or side who won the point. Service changes on side-out are tracked automatically.

Step 3

Optionally log the shuttle outcome — smash, drop, clear, net fault, or service fault.

Step 4

When a game ends, confirm and move to the next game. In the 3rd game, sides switch at 11 points.

Open your squad → Current Event → Start Scoring
Match Settings — Singles or Doubles, Best of, Points to Win, Setting Cap, Win by 2

Who serves first — select the player that starts serving to begin Game 1
Step 3 — Choose First Server
Live Scoring — tap a player's name to add a rally point; current server highlighted

Game Complete screen — game result with series score and Start Next Game button
Step 5 — Game Complete, Start Next

Match Format

Standard BWF rules apply. The organizer can adjust target scores for club or recreational play.

Best of 3 Games (Standard)

  • First player/pair to win 2 games wins the match
  • Each game goes to 21 points, win by 2
  • Maximum score is 30 — whoever reaches 30 first wins, even at 29-29
  • In the 3rd game, sides switch when the leading score reaches 11
  • Service alternates on every side-out (rally scored)

Short Format (Club / Round Robin)

  • Single game to 15 or 21 points (organizer's choice)
  • Win by 2, cap at 30
  • Used for pool play to keep schedules tight
💡 In doubles, service rotation follows the BWF standard — the app tracks which box each server is serving from based on the running score.
